About This Site
We conceived the Board of Mis-Directors™ and this site while in the throes of dealing with them ourselves. We found that, once we could grasp the ridiculousness of many of "their" tactics, we were much less susceptible. Our hope is that it works that way for you, too.
This site draws on the tradition of the Clown, Heyoekah, or Trickster, a sacred teacher in many cultures and traditions, including those native to the Americas, with the explicit intent of getting us past the shame, silence, and other repressions that keep the Board of Mis-Directors hidden (and powerful) in our lives. The Heyoekah is many things: a mirror, a healer, a shaman - transforming patterns and choices through the simple yet profound act of transforming pain into laughter - and clarity.
This site is dedicated to helping us all realize the silliness of resisting the beauty of who we are.
